South Jakarta Braces for Flooding as Rain Looms

South Jakarta Mayor Marullah Matali, checked the equipment and supplies (Alkal) owned by the Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency at the Rawa Minyak logistics warehouse, Pasar Minggu, on Friday (11/6).

"We're doing this to make sure everything is really ready to face the rainy season," he expressed.

According to him, everything was in good condition and ready to be deployed to face the rainy season.

"We hope that people will feel safe and comfortable during the rainy season," he expressed.

South Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head Mustajab explained, as a technical agency, his party had alerted personnel, vehicles and building materials to quickly deal with flood problems, including handling landslides, which caused obstructed water flow.

"There are currently 60 alkal units in South Jakarta, which aim to ensure that the water in the drain flows smoothly," he stated.
